I took my daughter to Knott's Berry Farm yesterday, and the best part was the Mystery Lodge.

If you haven't been there, the Mystery Lodge is a super-cool Native American spiritual magic show featuring an old Indian grand-father-type story-teller talking to the audience beside a camp-fire and making magic with smoke.

And the coolest thing he said -- during a very profound and thought-provoking 20-minute show -- was that "the goodness of life is sitting by a fire sharing stories and what is true."

We don't get to do that very often in our society unless we really make a point to go out of our way and organize a special event...

Camping trips or retreats.

I feel very fortunate that I get to do that -- essentially -- every time I sit down to write one of these columns.

I try to share stories and what I know to be true.
